Family and friends said goodbye today to a rookie NYPD officer who was killed in an accident in the Bronx over the weekend.
Wake services were held for 25-year-old Michael Williams in Hopewell Junction.
Williams was thrown out of the back of a police van when the driver hit a barrier on the Bruckner Expressway in the Bronx. Eight other officers suffered injuries.
Williams' father is a longtime police officer in Carmel.
A funeral service will take place tomorrow.
