Wake and funeral arrangements have been finalized for Eleanor Birrittella, the Westchester County correction officerkilled in a motorcycle accident.
The wake will be held at Sinatra Funeral Home on Yonkers Avenue, with visitation hours scheduled for 1-7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. Friday.
A funeral service will take place at Mt. Carmel Church on Park Hill Avenue in Yonkers at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Birrittella, 40, lost her life in a motorcycle crash on the Bronx River Parkway in Scarsdale last Saturday afternoon.
She dedicated three years to serving as a correction officer, contributing to the safety and security of Westchester County's correctional facilities. Prior to her career in law enforcement, Birrittella served the community for 17 years at the County Board of Elections.
