The graduation ceremony was held Saturday for the country's most prestigious military school along the West Bank of the Hudson River.
Nearly 1,000 students graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
The ceremony was held at Michie Stadium.
Vice President Joe Biden gave the school's commencement speech.
Biden told the Class of 2016 that it is joining the "greatest fighting force in the world."
Justin Siem, of Somers, received the award for scoring the highest on the school's physical program, one of the highest honors in his class.
