A vote today will decide whether or not to strip Gov. Andrew Cuomo of his emergency powers.
It comes in response to his handling of coronavirus-related deaths in nursing homes.
The New York State legislature will vote today on a bill that would limit Cuomo's authority to govern without legislative oversight.
The deal will reverse emergency powers granted to Cuomo in the early days of the COVID pandemic. The emergency powers allowed him to order measures like quarantines.
