Volunteers clean up tires dumped along Muttontown Preserve

Volunteers gathered along the Muttontown Preserve Saturday to help clean up tires left there.
Residents first discovered the mess over a year ago on Route 106. They say it has become worse since then.
The area is owned by the Oyster Bay-East Norwich School District. They say they are working to find out who is responsible.
Organizers at the cleanup told News 12 they are also working to identify the culprit.
"We're going to be putting cameras up, with signage, motion sensitive cameras. The police department has a license plate reader that any cars going up this road they can get the license plate,” said Mitch Kramer.
Nassau police says they are trying to discover more details.
