Two men were stabbed and another person severely beaten in three separate incidents in Yonkers overnight, police say.
A man was sent to the hospital after being beaten on South Broadway early Saturday morning. The victim is listed in critical condition at Jacobi Medical Center with serious head injuries.
Just blocks away, at 192 Nepperhan Ave., another man was stabbed four times in the buttocks shortly after midnight, police say. Several hours later, a third man was stabbed in the chest with a broken bottle on New Main Street.
Many local residents were shaken up by the sudden spike in violence.
"It has increased as far as the violence, and it's just sad, sad to hear that someone got hurt," says Richard Rodriguez, of Yonkers.
So far no arrests have been made, and police say they have no leads in any of the three incidents. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 914-377-7725.
