A Mamaroneck man has been charged with manslaughter in the death of a 25-year-old Mamaroneck man.

The stabbing happened yesterday afternoon in an apartment at 300 Richbell Road in the village.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital.

Police arrested Vitaly Werner, 23, of Mamaroneck. He was arraigned in village court and remanded to the county jail on $20,000 bail.

A motive for the stabbing is not known.

The same building was the scene of a slaying in September 2007. Stephen Spina, a 36-year old letter carrier, was fatally stabbed in his apartment. The death remains unsolved.
