Two people drifting in the Hudson River were brought to safety thanks to a vigilant commuter.
The search started around 6 p.m. Thursday, when police received a report from a Metro-North passenger, who said he saw a small vessel capsized in the river.
With the help of Irvington police and the Westchester Marine Unit, they were able to locate the pair and rescue them.
Police say the two were adrift for about 90 minutes before the marine unit was notified to look for them.
