A vigil was held Wednesday night to commemorate the six years since the death of a man who died during a confrontation with Greenburgh police.
On Nov. 30, 2017, Jonathan Maldonado was in the custody of Greenburgh police after allegedly stealing a cellphone from the Best Buy in Hartsdale.
Police say they used a Taser to subdue him, and moments later he went into cardiac arrest.
Maldonado's family has since filed a $20 million civil suit against the Town of Greenburgh and the police department.
According to Town Supervisor Paul Feiner, an investigation into the case found no wrongdoing.
