News 12 has previously reported that residents in the neighborhood say they have sat down with the Department of Transportation to propose an alternative route for the bike lane, such as having it moved from Bedford Avenue to nearby Classon Avenue and end at Flushing Avenue just as the current route does.
Earlier this week, Mayor Eric Adams expressed flexibility in modifying the bike lane.
