Four veterans were given newly refurbished vehicles in Monsey as part of a program called Rescue My Ride.
The program is a collaboration between the Nanuet-West Nyack Rotary, VFW Post 92-15 from Upper Nyack and Nanuet Collision Centers in Monsey.
One of the recipients is Joe Zannetti, who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan with the Marines. Zannetti received a rebuilt truck, and will use it to attend college in Texas.
Russell Wright, a World War II veteran, had been largely confined to his home without a vehicle to help his wife get him around. Russell received a refurbished van.

The three cars given away were donated to the program by their previous owners. The truck was purchased with donations.
The vehicles were refurbished by Nanuet Collision.
