Our furry friends still need to see the doctor during this time, and one New York veterinarian is changing its protocol to make sure everyone is safe.

All Creatures Veterinary Hospital is taking extra precautions to stop the spread of coronavirus by starting curbside service last week.

The animal doctors pre-screen appointments to see if it's necessary to come to the building.

It is only providing essential care including emergencies, spay and neuter, as well as treatment for infectious diseases.

It not only keeps the staff safe, but the patient’s families as well. "I think it's a great idea because waiting rooms can get very crowded. This is kind of the time where you don't want to be in a crowd," says Bob Ipcar, dog owner.

All staff members are being checked regularly to make sure they are staying healthy and also keeping a safe distance from each other.
