Veterans make Honor Flight trip to Washington
Local veterans are enjoying a trip this weekend to the nation’s capital for the 20th Hudson Valley Honor Flight.
This year, 46 Korean war veterans and 23 World War II veterans were honored.
The chairman of the organization, Frank Kimler, was able meet veterans and see the pride in the veterans’ eyes as they were honored.
For many veterans, the trip is bittersweet as they remember their friends who have passed away.
Those fallen heroes are in the veterans’ hearts as they go to Washington D.C.
