Rockland County Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski has declared that he will not seek reelection this year.

The 96th District Democrat says it's time for a new chapter in his life.

Zebrowski expressed pride in his statewide legislative record and the contributions he made to the county during his tenure.

Initially elected in a special election in May 2007 and following in the footsteps of his late father, Zebrowski is currently serving his ninth term.

Zebrowski's district includes the entire towns of Clarkstown and Haverstraw and a portion of the town of Orangetown.
