The Hudson Valley is welcoming a new cardiac catheterization lab.

Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie is opening the new lab on the eighth floor of its patient pavilion.

The new facility will sport larger rooms, semi-private recovery bays and advanced medical imaging to treat various cardiovascular conditions.

The new lab will replace the original one that opened in 1993 in the legacy part of the hospital.
