Authorities in Wawayanda are seeking information from the public after a newly constructed playground at New Hampton Park was vandalized over the weekend.

The incident involved damage to the playground equipment and the painting of vulgar language.

Town officials are appealing to the community for assistance in identifying those responsible for the vandalism.
