The United State Postal Service is removing mailboxes around the country as a precaution of possible violence before the inauguration.
The USPS announced it is temporarily removing or locking blue mailboxes in several major cities.
This is usually done to keep employees, customers and property safe when there are large gatherings or protests planned.
The company removed mail collection boxes in Washington D.C. in 2017 when President Donald Trump was inaugurated.
