The foundation has been poured and has set at what will be the new Chick-fil-A location off Route 59 in Nanuet.
Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann tells News 12 that it will open later this year, possibly in the fall.
"Whenever I go into the schools, all I hear is 'when is Chick-fil-A opening? When is Chick-Fil-A opening? The kids love it," said Supervisor Hoehmann. "So we're really excited about Chick-fil-A coming here to Clarkstown."
He says it will be about 5,000 square feet, and there will be two drive-thru lanes, including a special spot for mobile delivery orders.
He believes the entire property should be big enough to accommodate customers and avoid traffic, too.
Once it is finished, it would be the first Chick-fil-A of its kind in Rockland because the other one is within the Sloatsburg rest stop.
