An Ulster County man is facing multiple charges of sexually assaulting a teenager in Dutchess County earlier this year.
Town of Hyde Park police say they first received a report from the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center on April 26, saying an underage teenager was being sexually abused in town.
After a long and intense investigation, police arrested Stephen Alvarez, of Milton, in connection to the case.
The 41-year-old faces multiple charges including rape, criminal sexual act, and endangering the welfare of a child.
He was arraigned in the Town of Hyde Park court and then sent to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center.
