U-pick season has started in the Hudson Valley, and Greig Farm in Red Hook has plenty of fruits and veggies to choose from!

Owner Norman Greig says the pick-your-own tradition spans decades at his family farm.

He says it has been a place for families to pick their own strawberries since the 1950s. "I see this as an agricultural park that's open to the public and you get to eat what you see! It doesn't get better than that," Greig said.

Visitors will find plenty to pick through the fall season

Strawberries are in June, blueberries in July and August as well as thornless blackberries.

During the fall months you can pick your own pumpkins, and this year, fall raspberries are returning for the first time in a while!

The fruits and veggies are all naturally grown among roughly 300 acres of the farm.

"It's just a great place to be, we harvest everything here, I only plant varieties that are known for flavor," Greig said. "We have acres of each crop and you don't need to call, we're open seven days a week."

Visitors can spend an entire day here because the fun goes beyond the picking.

Visitors will also meet eight babies that were just born early May.

Before hitting the road back, grab a bite to eat or natural and locally sourced snacks for the ride at the market!

There's something for everybody to experience nature at its best at Greig Farm in Red Hook.
