Installation of girders that will connect to the new Tappan Zee Bridge to Rockland will begin this week.
Massive, steel girders will be placed near the South Nyack shoreline, and will be connected to the structures already installed in the Hudson River.
Commuters should expect some some delays on River Road in Palisades due to the construction.
The road will be reduced to one lane all week from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
