Friday is the last day two Westchester Catholic schools will be open.
The New York Archdiocese announced in March that several Catholic schools and churches will be closed as part of a realignment plan. According to the Archdiocese, the changes are a result of more Catholics moving to northern counties.
St. John the Evangelist in White Plains and St. Denis in Yonkers are closing their schools for good. Archdiocese officials say those schools were chosen to close because both had reduced enrollment this year.
