A car accident in Ossining has left two people injured this morning.
Police say the two-car crash happened around 6:30 a.m on Route 9 between Emwilton place and James Street.
Police say the driver of a silver sedan was traveling northbound when the car crossed the double yellow lines and slammed into the back of a taxi. The car then careened out of control, flew through some hedges, did a complete flip, and smashed into the back of a parked pickup truck.
Paramedics say the drive was partially ejected and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. There is no word yet on the condition of the taxi driver.
Route 9 is closed in both directions while police investigate.
