Two people standing at the circulation desk of a Spring Valley library landed in the hospital after an SUV crashed through the front doors Tuesday night.
A 15-year-old girl is recovering after being hit and then pinned under the vehicle. Officials say she was released from the hospital and is doing well.
A 49-year-old woman remains in the hospital under observation, officials said.
The crash happened Tuesday evening at Finkelstein Library on Route 59.
Police say the driver of the SUV lost control, and has not been charged with a crime. Investigators are waiting for a mechanic to determine whether there was something wrong with the vehicle.
There is no word as to when the library will reopen, but library director Tracy Allen says that cleanup and repairs are underway.
