The biggest drug bust in the Village of Tuckahoe has the community applauding the efforts of local police Tuesday.
Police confiscated thousands of prescription drugs after raiding a home on Wallace Street. After receiving an anonymous tip last month about the activities of the residents, police searched the home and allegedly found about 6,500 hydrocodone and 140 oxycodone pills Monday. With a street value of approximately $250,000, residents were thrilled to hear the drugs won't trickle down through the community.
Christopher Smith, of Easchester, Steve Satriale and Eugene Luizzi, both of Tuckahoe, were arrested as a result of the month-long investigation. Luizzi is being held without bail and Satriale remains in jail, having failed to post his $5,000 bail. Smith was released pending an upcoming court appearance.
