While a storm resulted in some delays at the Westchester County Airport on Sunday, neither the snow nor the pandemic stopped people from catching their flights.
The TSA says it screened more than 1 million people Saturday as travelers head home from the holidays despite rising COVID-19 cases nationwide.
The agency says that travel is still down - as it screened about half the travelers it normally does at this point.
Travelers at Westchester County Airport say that they're taking all the precautions they can by wearing masks, using hand sanitizer and social distancing. But even with all of the precautions people are taking, there's still a risk.
In the mid-Hudson region alone, there are about 900 people hospitalized with COVID-19 and the positivity rate is nearly 8%.
