A beloved toy store in Pleasantville is going out of business after 23 years.
Linda and Barry Schwartz, the owners of Try and Buy, say their abrupt closure is a sad sign of the times, with challenges including high rent, big box stores and the Internet.
They say in this climate, it's nearly impossible for any small business to make ends meet.
Try and Buy closes its doors for good on Christmas Eve.
The owners say whatever inventory isn't sold will be donated to local businesses.
