Police say a truck driver following GPS directions crashed into a Saw Mill River Parkway overpass in Pleasantville.
The accident happened at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Bedford Road overpass. Police say the driver was heading north on I-287, changed over to I-87 and ended up on the Saw Mill, leading to the accident.
Police say many tractor-trailer drivers use a regular GPS device instead of a commercial model that marks roadways where only passenger cars are allowed. The specialized commercial GPS devices are more expensive than the regular models.
