A shipment of marble countertops arrived at its destination Wednesday after a truck rolled over in Katonah spilling its contents onto the road. Police say a truck hauling about $50,000 worth of Italian marble slabs failed to negotiate a turn and rolled over at the intersection of Interstate 684 and Route 35. Police closed a portion of Route 35 while the shattered marble was cleaned up. Police also blocked the northbound ramp from the Saw Mill River Parkway and I-684.
No one was injured in the accident. Police hope to have the roads open by the afternoon.
