The tri-state area will experience a partial lunar eclipse of the full Harvest Moon tomorrow.
During the eclipse, the moon will pass near the Earth's shadow center but not directly through it, gradually darkening.
NASA reports that the eclipse will peak at 10:44 p.m., painting the night sky with a stunning backdrop. However, clouds will likely make for poor to impossible viewing conditions on the ground.
For optimal viewing, find a clear, dark location between 10 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
