WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- If you're out and about in Rockland and Westchester counties on Thursday, you'll have to do so with caution. There is an Air Quality Alert for those two counties for Thursday. Smoke from the Jones Road wildfire in Ocean County, New Jersey, will slowly drift up into portions of the Hudson Valley. There will be a smoky haze in the sky, which will make for potentially some vibrant sunrise and sunset views, but it will also cause an issue for those with respiratory issues.
- Friday, we will see a gradual increase in cloud coverage as temperatures rise well above average, again. Rain showers come from those clouds overnight Friday into Saturday. There will be a chance for pockets of downpours in the morning hours with scattered showers in the afternoon hours and breezy winds. The rain will add up to about 0.75 inches on average. Rain showers will taper off Saturday night, and the system will pull away as well. Sunday is trending nicer and brighter with breezy winds at times.
- Next week will bring around a change in the calendar from April to May, as well as introduce more warm temperatures.

SATURDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH - Cloudy with steady rain in the morning then a chance for scattered showers & mostly cloudy skies in the afternoon. Highs: upper 60s. Lows: mid-40s.
SUNDAY: Partly to mostly sunny and breezy at times. Highs: mid 60s. Lows: mid-40s.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs: upper 60s to low 70s. Lows: upper 40s to low 50s.
TUESDAY: Partly cloudy and breezy at times. Highs: mid-70s. Lows: low to mid-50s.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny with a chance of showers in the afternoon to evening hours. Highs: low 80s. Lows: upper 40s to low 50s.
