Disaster was averted Friday in Orange County after a strong storm brought down a tree near a preschool.
The incident happened at the Ivy League Preschool on Route 32 in New Windsor.
The school's owner says children were getting ready to be picked up when the storm blew in and caused the tree to come crashing down onto the kids' play area outside the school.
The owner says there were three children at the preschool with a teacher at the time of the storm.
No one was injured.
