The United Nations General Assembly kicks off Monday, and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority is reminding drivers of road closures that will take place.
The MTA says residents should skip the traffic gridlocks that will come from closed roads and take the subway. Bus routes will also be impacted in the city.
President Joe Biden is set to attend a pair of campaign receptions in the city Monday and address the U.N. before meeting with foreign leaders on Wednesday.
The gridlock alert in place for New York will take place Monday through Wednesday.
