Mobility concerns are no barrier for people who want to experience Westchester County Parks this season thanks to an adaptive program by the Westchester County Parks Foundation.
Now in its second year, the “Trails Without Limits” program delivers accessibility options to rustic county trails for people who live with cerebral palsy, cardiac issues, arthritis and other mobility concerns.
Currently, several timeslots are open to register throughout each week.
Anybody who registers can enjoy a free guided hike of up to two miles with the ease of an electric “all-terrain track chair.”
Every month, new adventures are held at different county parks.
During March, Track Chairs are available at Ridge Road Park in Hartsdale.
April will be at Saxon Woods Park in White Plains and May will be at Muscoot Farm in Katonah.
