Traffic headaches have been addressed near the major development project off the Saw Mill Parkway in Dobbs Ferry.
Since the project began in 2013, drivers dealt with issues that included improperly timed traffic lights near Chauncey Square, and an insufficient number of lanes for drivers to get in and out of the complex. Chronic congestion problems formed near the complex.
The traffic lights are now balanced and there are four lanes heading onto the parkway, with two lanes coming into the complex.
The Department of Transportation says it expects a week or two of major work, including paving the roads and striping the lane lines.
The redevelopment project will add 800 parking spaces at Chauncey Square as well as new shops, restaurants, a hotel and a movie theater.
