Road repairs in Elmsford are causing delays for the morning commute on Wednesday.
Crews are working along West Main Street (Route 119) this morning to fix a sinkhole.
A water main break occurred about a month ago, and police tell News 12 there was a divot in the roadway, likely due to the harsh winter weather, that needed to be fixed.
Crews are working in the area of the intersection of Route 9A by Pete’s Saloon and CVS.
It’s a heavily traveled area, so drivers should expect delays as traffic is funneled into one lane.
The work started about 3 a.m. and is expected to continue through the morning rush hours and beyond, so drivers should give themselves extra time or take a different route.
