Commuters should be aware of a traffic alert as the state Transportation Department begins pothole repairs in the Elmsford area today.

Drivers on the Saw Mill Parkway can anticipate delays, as the roadway will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Exits 20 and 23. This repair work will continue through May 26.

Additionally, the Exit 21W ramp to State Route 119 westbound will be closed, along with the State Route 119 eastbound ramp to the Saw Mill northbound.

Furthermore, lane closures on the Sprain Brook Parkway can be expected between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. through Friday.
