The Clarkstown Police Department announced today that Gilchrest Road will be closed for construction upgrades starting today.
The closure will be at the railroad crossing between Stern Place and Sasson Terrace in Valley Cottage.
The construction upgrades are being conducted by CSX.
The closure is expected to continue through Thursday. Drivers are advised to use the posted detours.
