A tractor-trailer flipped over and landed on a car in Cortlandt Monday morning.
Police say the accident happened on Route 6 at around 9 a.m.
The truck, which was carrying a heavy load of large wooden railroad ties, was traveling northbound when it tipped over while going around a curve. It smashed a white van and nearly flattened a Honda Civic.
The driver of the van suffered cuts to the face from broken glass. No other injuries have been reported.
Route 6 was closed down in both directions earlier in the day from the Bear Mountain Bridge to the Annsville Circle.
