A final walk out was held Friday for Cornwall’s retiring police chief.
Dozens of people gathered to support Todd Hazard, who has been with the department as chief for the past 16 years.
Hazard was previously with the New Windsor Police Department for 19 years – where he started his law enforcement career 35 years ago.
“Thirty-five years is a long time. I believe I left the department better than I found it. I’m very confident in Chief Joe Geber and looking forward to the next chapter of my life," said Hazard.
Hazard says he plans on spending his retirement with his wife and family camping, hunting, and fishing.
