Sunday's torrential downpours caused flooding in some areas throughout the Hudson Valley.
Significant flooding on the Sprain Brook, Saw Mill and Cross County parkways led to some road closures. Officials even reported some water rescues on some roads in those areas.
The rain even caused flooding in some parts of Mount Vernon, which included Audubon Avenue and Stuyvesant Plaza.
News 12’s Darius Radzius spoke with Mount Vernon Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard, who explained how the city responded in getting roads reopened for motorists.
