The Tops Supermarket chain has officially initiated its annual Check Out Hunger Campaign, which commenced in stores yesterday and will continue until Feb.10.
This program provides shoppers with an opportunity to contribute to local food banks, including the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley.
Participation is simple – shoppers can express their desire to support the campaign at checkout and make a donation of $2, $3 or $5. The collective efforts of the community during this campaign will help address food insecurity and support those in need.
In addition to launching the Check Out Hunger Campaign, Tops Supermarket shared the successful outcomes of its Food 2 Families and Food for Families campaigns conducted during the holiday season. The supermarket chain proudly announced that it raised over 2.5 million pounds of food, benefiting local food banks.
