People flocked to Palisades Center Mall on Tuesday to return and exchange Christmas gifts.

News 12 spoke with people who said some of the gifts they received were either the wrong size or items they already had.

The National Retail Federation announced Tuesday that the return rate for 2023 was 14.5% of sales.

The Better Business Bureau suggests to always read the fine print when buying online because consumers may not always be able to bring an item back to the store or may be charged a fee.
