With a new push for vaccinations, some parents may be eager to book an appointment for their children - but where can they go to get a shot?
Starting Wednesday, parents are able to bring them to some area hospitals, pediatricians and community centers - and to Walgreens and CVS this weekend.
However, few if any appointments are available at area pharmacies.
When News 12 checked earlier, the closest CVS with an opening was in New Jersey, and not a single Walgreens location popped up.
While it's promising to see how many parents have scheduled their children's appointments, some may feel like it's bad deja vu when no one could get a shot.
A CVS spokesperson tells News 12 that as vaccine allocation increases, additional locations will be added.
President Joe Biden assured that his administration purchased enough doses for every 5–11-year-old nationwide.
The Westchester County Center and the Westchester Health Department will not be vaccinating 5-11-year-olds for now.
