Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Tuesday that Times Square will reopen for 2021's New Year's Eve celebration after taking pandemic pause in 2020.

Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Tuesday that Times Square will reopen for 2021's New Year's Eve celebration after taking pandemic pause in 2020.
The mayor adds anyone who wants to participate in the festivity will need to provide proof of vaccination as well as valid photo ID.
Anyone who has not been able to receive a vaccination due to a disability will need proof of a negative PCR test within 72 hours and must wear a mask.
