A storm that swept through the Hudson Valley on Wednesday continues to cause disruptions on the area's roadways due to downed power lines, fallen trees and flooding.

One of the heavily affected areas is Central Avenue in Greenburgh, which remains closed due to downed power lines.
The powerful winds from the storm brought down four utility poles in front of the Curry Chevrolet car dealership, causing wires to hang down onto Central Avenue. As a result, many businesses in the area are without power.
Some businesses, like Frank and Joe's Deli on Central Avenue, were lucky to maintain power. "We're fortunate that we still have our power, but we did lose our phone service and our internet but we're improvising," says owner Robert DiBetta.
Officials anticipate that repairing the downed poles and restringing the wires will take most of the day to complete.
