While roads have improved since early this morning, officials are warning there could be remaining trouble spots due to melting snow and fog.
Ice and heavy rain made many roads across the Hudson Valley treacherous this morning.
Drivers who spoke with News 12 say taking things slow was the key to safety.
"Very slippery walkways. But once you made it through the roads, maybe because there is a lot of salt on there, they seem to be pretty good. Not too many slick spots, just a lot of puddles out there. So far, so good on Route 6," said Todd Franklin, of Baldwin Place.
