And as you're out driving on the local roadways, we know it is going to be cold Christy. When do you think the temperatures are going to warm up just a little bit? I mean, as we enter into a weekend, they pick up, but that comes with some rain, unfortunately, but we see that our radar over the past six hours is showing some flurries really over across the area. But that is going to be continuing through today and tomorrow, really mostly northwestern New York and Pennsylvania are seeing the snow, but we can't rule out flurries throughout the day today as well as to tomorrow. We see it coming across and that comes with some bitterly cold temperatures across the area. And this is our, feels like versus our regular temperatures, regular temperatures on the left over here in our blue cold feels like temperatures. So what you need to know is these frigid temperatures continue. This is later in our evening tonight, around dinner time, we're seeing temperatures in the upper twenties and low thirties, but feeling like they're in the twenties, 22 in Newburgh and Poughkeepsie. And that is going to drop even more. As we head into our overnight hours, this is 1045 starting to get into the teens in some spots. Brewster seeing 17 and it's gonna be even colder for tomorrow. So you're gonna wanna keep that in mind for your commute tomorrow morning. This is 6 a.m. feeling like 16 out there. So definitely bundle up and be prepared if you're heading when you're heading out the door. And then by your afternoon, those temperatures still stay pretty cold with some wind gusts of around 20 miles an hour. And we can't rule out some accumulation really northwestern Ulster County, seeing between one and three inches, really not much and flurries passing throughout the rest of the day and we see some rain chances pick up for Friday. But with that, our temperatures are also on the rise thankfully and it's really a turnaround from today. Don't be fooled by this temperature. It's feeling like the twenties out there frigid and then a really big switch into Friday. Our temperatures jump up and some rain can return for your weekend. Let's take a look at your 10 day forecast. Now, we've got a frigid and cold Wednesday for you with some gust winds and temperatures are on the rise into the weekend with some chance for rain for your Friday and we're back to seasonable temperatures through next week.

But next we want to go to our own Ben Nandy who is going to be joining us now. And Ben has been following this story from the field, Ben, if I could send you a hot chocolate, I would. Hey MEREDITH, sorry, didn't quite catch your question. The train was just going by, We're here at Graystone station in Yonkers the wind. Uh just a moment ago we had a nice little gusset really just cuts through you. It feels like they've been happening in rounds like we're coming up on round four of a bunch of wind. It's kind of how my evening and afternoon has been going and we've been hearing from a lot of E. M. S. And police departments as they try to put out uh this war urgent warning to get people to slow down over the next few hours. I know you've heard a lot of this before, but especially right now it is really urgent. Rockland County just put out a P. S. A. Saying to avoid using cruise control this evening that can reduce your traction and to leave space between you and cars in front of you. They call these sneaky winter hazards that's appropriate because they happen so suddenly and that really applies here this evening. My fingers are getting really cold and it was not like this an hour ago. Um This is some video from my drive in from Middletown. Usually this is a one hour drive. It took about two hours, three traffic accidents I got stuck behind and it looked like wind, had a little bit to do with some of this. The Putnam County Sheriffs in outer reminders saying to please over these next 2 to 3 hours, use your brakes gently and if your wheels lock up, ease off the brake and that can prevent some really ugly situations last spring. Remember a little ice during rush hour. And that created a giant mess here in Westchester County, a multi car accident because of just a little bit of ice. And so these local sheriffs and E. M. S. Agencies are trying to avoid another situation like that, but it is getting colder, it's wet but it's getting really cold and we anticipate some changes to road conditions and we'll keep you posted throughout Ben Nandy News 12.
