A Thruway worker's life was saved by his co-worker's quick response after he suffered a major heart attack.
Bob Reese went into cardiac arrest Tuesday, collapsing in the break room at a West Nyack Thruway maintenance yard.
Fortunately, Keith Shearn, a co-worker, was in the room.
A captain in Nyack Volunteer Fire Department, Shearn performed CPR until paramedics arrived, saving Reese's life.
Reese is recovering, but is still in the intensive care unit at Good Samaritan Hospital.
