Residents in Throgs Neck have officially welcomed a brand new shopping center at the corner of Lafayette and the Hutchinson River Parkway.
A grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony took place Thursday morning at the Throgs Neck Shopping Center with developers and other officials in attendance.
The new shopping center features Target, Sleepy's, TJ Maxx, T-Mobile, Starbucks, Chipotle, Sketchers and more. The shopping center will also have more than 600 free parking spaces for shoppers.
People out shopping Thursday told News 12 The Bronx that they were thrilled that the center opened just in time for the holidays.
